Canyonig Trip full day
The most exciting experience available near Cusco combines the sport of canyoning, the beautiful countryside of Cusco and the archaeological complex of Pisac which will deliver an unsurpassable adrenaline rush.
Pisac is located Northeast of Cusco in the Sacred Valley. At Pisac a canyon cuts into the Vilcanota River valley from the northeast, the gorge is 330 feet (100 metres) deep. This is a wet, upside-down climbing adventure on some beautifully sculpted river rock. You do not need any previous experience.
Itinerary
At 9:00am we drive to Corao, 55 minutes northeast of Cusco, where we prepare you for your canyoning adventure. Everyone tests his or her harness, neoprene wetsuit, ropes, and carabiners, while the guide explains our intended trip down before beginning the descents.
The rappels are five water falls, of long as 10, 20, and 30 metres at a time. We reach the bottom after about 3 hours and exit via the river.… hence the wetsuits. We have lunch before returning to Cusco.
