Itinerary

Day 1.- Cusco – Santa Maria

We depart Cusco in the morning and drive through the Sacred Valley, climbing to the Malaga Pass 14,850 feet (4,500 metres). There, our guide will talk safety and then we ride down to the jungle on mountain bikes. In the afternoon, we will arrive at Santa Maria, a jungle village 4,950 feet (1,500 metres), where we stay the night.

Day 2.- Santa Maria – Santa Teresa

We begin early in the morning, climbing up the jungle mountains (not to a great altitude), during the day we will see beautiful landscapes, local people, and different kinds of plants and animals. We will arrive into Santa Teresa in the afternoon where we will stay and take advantage of the clean natural hot springs.

Day 3.- Santa Teresa - Machupicchu

From Santa Teresa at 6,270 feet (1,900 metres), we will walk from 4 to 6 hours to Hydroelectric where we will eat lunch. From there we will continue walking along the train tracks to Aguas Calientes (the town below Machu Picchu) where we will stay the night. There are many fine cafes and restaurants in Aguas Calientes and another natural hot spring.

Day 4.- Machupicchu - Cusco

We start the day before sunrise and walk to the famous Machu Picchu archaeological site, once there we will visit the impressive site with our professional guide. In the afternoon, we will return to Aguas Calientes in order to take our train back to Cusco, where we will arrive at approximately 8pm.
